The Green Caravan Initiative was born out of a deep seated commitment to addressing the urgent and escalating challenges posed by climate change in Uganda and beyond. Recognizing the devastating impacts of climate change— such as flooding, crop failure, landslides, energy poverty, and the decimation of forest cover—we saw a critical need to amplify the voices of local communities and empower them to take ownership of their climate future
